City Safety and the User Experience Highlighted in the 2018 Volvo XC40

The Volvo brand has long since been ubiquitous with safety, but with the advent of its new designs and Scalable Product Architecture (SPA), its approach has broadened. Now, form and function as well as innovative technologies play a larger role than ever, and the all-new 2018 Volvo XC40 is a prime example of that.

Unveiled earlier this month, the XC40 will ride on a different version of the SPA platform called Compact Modular Architecture (CMA), which will be the foundation of smaller Volvo cars, wagons, and CUVs. But those are just the bones. The smaller XC40’s design draws from that of its larger siblings, but with a more roguish air. That’s because unlike the 90 Series models, this new utility is designed for city drivers. It’s also got the safety features to match, like a 360 degree camera, rear cross-traffic alert with automatic braking, and a City Safety system.

Built to traverse urban landscapes with confidence, this new Volvo represents an exciting blend of luxury and tech that’s sure to make city dwelling more convenient. Want more information? Stay tuned to our blog, or contact our Canton, OH location.
